Nero, 54-68. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 35 mm, 27.41 g, 7 h), Lugdunum, circa 66. IMP•NERO•CAESAR•AVG•PONT•MAX•TR•POT•P•P Laureate head of Nero to left, with globe at point of bust. Rev. DECVRSIO / S - C Nero riding on horseback to right, holding spear, behind him rides a soldier carrying a vexillum over his shoulder. Banti & Simonetti 894 (this coin). BMC 316. Cohen 88. RIC 508. A bold and impressive piece with a lovely brown patina. Minor areas of weakness and with a very thin flan crack, otherwise, very fine.
