A very rare drachm of Dionysios I in the style of Eukleidas

SICILY. Syracuse. Dionysios I, 405-367 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 3.87 g, 4 h), unsigned dies in the style of Eukleidas, circa 405-400. [ΣΥΡAKOΣIΩN] Head of Athena facing slightly to left, wearing triple crested Attic helmet, earring and necklace of pendant acorns; around, four dolphins. Rev. [ΣΥΡAKOΣIΩN / ΛEΥKAΣΠIΣ] Leukaspis, nude but for helmet, advancing right, holding spear in his right hand and shield with his left; behind, square altar; before, sacrificed lamb lying on its back. Boehringer, Münzprägungen pl. II. 17. Rizzo pl. XLII, 1. SNG ANS 308-11. Very rare. A nicely toned example. Somewhat rough as usual, otherwise, good very fine.
