Heraclius, with Heraclius Constantine and Heraclonas, 610-641. Solidus (Gold, 22 mm, 4.46 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, 636/7 (?). Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, both wearing crowns surmounted with crosses, and Heraclonas, uncrowned, standing facing; each holding globus cruciger in their right hand; in upper field to left, cross. Rev. VICTORIA AVGI Є / CONOB Cross potent on base and three steps; in field to left, Heraclian monogram; in field to right, I. DOC 36e. MIB 42. SB 761. An exceptional piece, lustrous and well centered on a very broad flan. A scuff on the reverse and with light doubling, otherwise, virtually as struck.
