GERMANY. Sigmaringen-Helfenstein. Gottfried III, 1247-1263. Bracteate (Silver, 20 mm, 0.46 g). Stag walking left. Rev. Incuse of obverse. CC 252. Berger 2514. Fd. Elchenreute 66b. Rare. A wonderful piece, beautifully toned and with a very charming stag. Tiny edge split, otherwise, extremely fine.


From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket), acquired from Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft in May 1995.
