P M TR P XVI COS IIII P P / S - C Mars standing front, head to left, holding Victory in his right hand and placing his left on shield set on the ground; behind, spear; to lower left, captive seated to left. BMC 244. Cohen 217. RIC 496b. A bold and attractive piece with a beautiful portrait. Some corrosion spots, otherwise, good very fine.
